Construction has begun on the nearly $1 billion I-10 Express Lanes project from the Los Angeles/San Bernardino County Line to the I-15. Under normal circumstances, we would mark the start of construction with a celebratory groundbreaking event. However, since the state’s directive on large gathering remains in place, we are celebrating with a groundbreaking video.
The video shares information about the project including what to expect during construction and how to connect with our public outreach team. The video features Frank Navarro, SBCTA Board President and Mayor of the City of Colton, as well as Board Members from each of the three corridor cities – Councilmember Alan Wapner, City of Ontario; Mayor John Dutrey, City of Montclair and Mayor Debbie Stone, City of Upalnd. Their remarks celebrate the importance of the project to the region and showcase city-specific reasons why this project is vital to our county.
