Originally scheduled to start in mid-February, the series of six directional 55-hour freeway closures on SR 210 in the cities of Highland and Redlands have been rescheduled multiple times due to the unprecedented rain that southern California has experienced this year.
With spring bringing promises of better weather conditions, the series of weekend closures that are part of SBCTA’s SR 210 Lane Addition and Base Line Interchange Project are now scheduled to begin on Friday, April 14. These closures will be taken one direction at a time over select weekends and will allow crews to safely perform paving operations on eastbound (EB) and westbound (WB) SR 210 at the on- and off-ramp junctures of the San Bernardino Avenue interchange.
The directional closures will take place during weekends from Friday at 10:00 p.m. to Monday at 5:00 a.m. and are currently scheduled for the following dates*:
WB Closures:
EB Closures:
*Please note that construction is dynamic and the schedule is subject to change.
The series of directional freeway closures mark the last construction milestone before project completion this summer.
