State Route 210 Ramp Metering Project at Cherry Avenue in Fontana

SAN BERNARDINO  The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will began work on the $412,000.00 project to upgrade the ramp metering system on State Route 210 (SR-210) at Cherry Ave in the City of Fontana. The project was awarded to Kannan Construction, Inc. Work is expected to begin Monday, October 16th and expected to be complete by late December 2017.
Between the months October and December motorist can expect various intermittent ramp at Cherry Ave and intermittent lane closures on SR-210 at Cherry Ave to complete the modification of the ramp meter system.
The details of work for October 16 to December 30, 2017 are as follows:
Direction: Eastbound/Westbound
Location: Cherry Ave in Fontana
Work Details:

  • Intermittent on/off ramp closures
  • Intermittent shoulder closures
  • One lane closed, intermittently

Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (daily)
Ramp Closure Detours:
Westbound Cherry Ave on-ramp—Use eastbound Cherry Ave on-ramp, exit eastbound Citrus Ave, turn left, and use westbound Citrus Ave on-ramp.
Eastbound Cherry Ave on-ramp—use westbound Cherry Ave on-ramp, exit westbound Day Creek Blvd, turn left, and use eastbound Day Creek Blvd on-ramp
Eastbound Cherry Ave off-ramp—Use Citrus Ave off-ramp.
Westbound Cherry Ave off-ramp—Use Day Creek Blvd.
