SAN BERNARDINO – Caltrans is alerting motorists that rain and possibly snow have been forested for the Inland Empire region, including mountains and deserts. The National Weather Service has predicted that “Strong westerly winds over the mountains and deserts will create difficult driving conditions in some areas later today through tonight, especially for high profile vehicles through the passes and along the mountain slopes and foothills into the deserts. Showers will make for slick roads in many areas tonight, and possibly Tuesday night. Snowfall is possible, mostly above 6,500 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains. The highest peaks could see several inches tonight but most roads should not be impacted with accumulating snowfall”.
