What is Active Transportation?
Active Transportation means providing solutions that connect people of all ages and abilities using active modes such as walking and bicycling.
Your Feedback is Important.
Community input is a vital part of this project and your feedback is important. Throughout the project, the team will be gathering public input to understand community concerns. Community outreach activities will be held with the purpose of providing project updates, educating and soliciting feedback. Share your ideas on what you would like to see for Fontana by using #FontanaATP and sending your images to the City of Fontana Facebook page. We will share your photos with the public.
Project Objectives
Increase safety for people who bike and walk

  • Increase trail connectivity for bicycle commuters within the City and to its neighboring cities
  • Decrease bicyclist and pedestrian injuries and fatalities resulting from collisions involving vehicles and pedestrians or bicyclists
  • Create an alternative mode of transportation to work, schools, and shopping
