The Interstate 10 Pepper Avenue Interchange Project in Colton will require full nighttime closures. The westbound and eastbound I-10 at Pepper Avenue will be closed Monday, November 7 to Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 10 pm to 4 am, nightly. If necessary, the nighttime closures may extend to Sunday, November 13 and Monday, November 14 from 10 pm to 4 am.
During these closures, motorists will be directed to the Pepper Avenue off-ramps and across the Pepper Avenue bridge to reconnect to Interstate 10. The traffic signals at the end of each ramp will be inactive and flagging crews will be in place to facilitate traffic flow. Construction crews also will provide flagging for emergency vehicles needing access to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center or other emergency-related destinations from the eastbound I-10 off-ramp to northbound Pepper Avenue. All other motorists will be directed to the next ramp.
Also, there will be nighttime I-10 westbound and eastbound lane closures on Sunday, November 6 from 10 pm to 4 am. No detour will be required since at least one lane will remain open during this closure.
Please note closures of the westbound I-10 off-ramp and on-ramp and Pepper Avenue between eastbound ramps to Valley Boulevard are scheduled from Saturday, November 5 at 4 pm to Monday, November 7 at 4 am.
