Nighttime Full Closure of Both Directions of Interstate 215 at Barton Road Scheduled 2/12 – 2/15

GRAND TERRACE – As part of the Interstate 215 / Barton Road Interchange Project, crews will be closing both directions of Interstate 215 nightly starting Monday, February 12 through Thursday, February 15. Each closure will begin at 8pm and continue through 5am at which time the Interstate will reopen for commute traffic. This necessary closure allows for the safety of motorists and construction personnel while the crews perform the demolition of the southern portion of the existing bridge.
A detour (see map below) for motorists traveling through the work zone or seeking access to Barton Road will be signed to navigate travelers safely to the destinations. Drivers will not be able to cross the bridge at Barton Road, but detours to access to either side are available. TRUCKS should take special note that access to locations along Barton Road, east of I-215, will only be available from the northbound off ramp. Motorists traveling in the area should expect delays and plan accordingly.
