As the SBCTA Board convened for their first meeting of 2019, one of the orders of business was addressing the annual appointment or renewal of appointment to SBCTA policy committees and SBCTA representation on outside agencies.
Members of the SBCTA policy committees provide policy oversight and guidance to staff on a variety of issues and programs, as well as recommendations to the SBCTA Board of Directors on projects, administrative issues, policies, budget, finance and organizational issues.
SBCTA and SBCOG work closely with not only the County and member cities within San Bernardino County, but also with a number of regional governments throughout Southern California.  SBCTA Board Members take an active role in representing the interests of the county.  This participation ensures that the needs and views of SBCTA and its member jurisdictions are taken into consideration as regional policies are developed that impact the residents and local businesses.
