The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) operates the Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) Program. FSP consists of a fleet of tow trucks that travel on selected San Bernardino County freeways during peak periods of congestion to assist motorists with their disabled vehicles. The FSP program has demonstrated many benefits to the motoring public by reducing the amount of time a motorist is in an unsafe condition, reducing traffic congestion, as well as decreasing fuel consumption, vehicle emissions, and secondary incidents.
On July 1, 2020, the SBCTA Board of Directors recognized the efforts of all integral parts of the FSP operation. The FSP program would not be possible without the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) incredible partnership; the officers play a critical role in the field by supervising the drivers in the field day in and day out, ensuring FSP runs efficiently while providing the utmost in customer service.
The Board then recognized the following FSP drivers for their high level of professionalism and excellent customer service provided to stranded motorists along our freeways.
SBCTA congratulates these five drivers and all other FSP drivers who risk their lives every day to serve our motoring public and ensuring that San Bernardino County freeways stay as safe and congestion-free as possible.
