SBCTA Updates Bloomington MAC on I-10 Cedar Project

On Wednesday, September 4, SBCTA provided an I-10/Cedar Avenue Interchange Project update to the Bloomington Municipal Advisory Council (MAC), representing County of San Bernardino Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr.’s Fifth District.

Since there have been some challenges within the project related to bridge construction over the Union Pacific Railroad, the presentation included a schedule update on the progress of the project, recalibrating the expectations for completion.  The new anticipated schedule is summarized as follows:

• Summer 2025: Complete construction on the east half of the bridge
• Summer 2025 to Spring 2026: Switch traffic to newly constructed east half of the bridge and reconstruct west half of the bridge
• Spring 2026 to Summer 2026: Rehab west portion of bridge surfacing, sidewalk, and bridge barrier
• Late 2026: Erosion control at the interchange
